Custom Laser Cutting — Setup, Proof and Firm Quote

For work that is not a size off a list: your own shape, your own artwork, holes, engraving, an unusual material or a production run. This buys the front half of the job — we prepare your file, confirm it will cut, and send a dimensioned layout with a firm price for the cutting.

What you get

• Your file checked and prepared for the laser — open paths closed, duplicate lines removed, scale confirmed, minimum feature sizes flagged before they fail
• A dimensioned layout to approve
• A firm price for the cutting, held for 30 days
• Material advice, including when something cheaper or tougher would do the job better

Why this is a product and not a quote form

File preparation is real work, and it is where most of the risk in a laser job lives. Charging for it means it gets done properly rather than guessed at — and it is credited in full against the cutting if you go ahead. If the file turns out not to be cuttable at all, we tell you why and refund it.

What we cut

• Acrylic — cast, up to 20 mm, clear, coloured, frosted and mirrored
• Timber — plywood, MDF, hardwood and cardboard
• Specialty plastics and two-colour laminates
• Bed size — up to 1400 mm wide with a pass-through, so length is limited by handling and freight rather than by the machine

We do not cut metal, PVC or polycarbonate. PVC releases chlorine gas on a CO₂ laser, which ruins the machine and is genuinely dangerous, so we refuse it whoever is asking.

Sending your text or artwork

Send the wording, or a logo as SVG, DXF, AI, PDF or EPS. Vector files cut directly; a raster image can be traced, at some design cost, and the edge is only as good as the source. A dimensioned layout goes to you for approval before anything is cut — engraving is permanent, so a typo is a remake rather than an edit.
