The beam has width, so parts are cut on the line and finish a fraction under nominal.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eEdges:\u003c\/strong\u003e some edge char is normal on any timber cut with a laser. It sands off easily, though plenty of customers leave it for the contrast.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eMovement:\u003c\/strong\u003e timber is hygroscopic, so a thin panel can cup slightly if it is stored damp.
